When evaluating any particular problem, ask yourself, what is the frame here? What are the assumptions?

The most persistent problems tend to be the ones where we misdiagnose the problem.

As a consequence, we end up perpetuating the problem. Sometimes we even worsen the problem.

Some of the best ways to improve your framing skill is to simply expose yourself to as much diversity as possible.

The way you frame something can be an art form all by itself.

Jean-Michel Basquiat, said: “Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time.”

We decorate as self expression.

Reframe the unknown as opportunity
Here we begin on our journey through the labyrinth of the unknown, a path that twists and turns through the shadows of uncertainty and emerges into the light of possibility. Imagine standing at the threshold of a dense fog, the kind that conceals the familiar and renders the future opaque. It’s this very fog that both disorients and beckons, whispering promises of unseen wonders while stirring the primal fears that tug at the roots of our being.

Now, consider this: every grand story of success, every chapter of innovation, every leap into love has traversed this mist of uncertainty. It’s not the absence of doubt that defines our greatest endeavors, but rather the embrace of it, the decision to step forward into the uncertainty rather than recoil in retreat. This isn’t about ignoring the risks or shunning the reality of potential loss – instead, it’s about choosing to view the unseen not as a void of hazards but as a canvas of possibility.

Reframing complexities concisely fosters understanding.

- With AI we can give it hard concepts.
- Explain those hard concepts in 5 words.
- Then ask it to frame how you describe them if you lived on Planet Honest.

Frames matter.
The brain receives about 10 million bits of information per second through our sensory organs. Of course, that defines who we are, and it's primarily related to homeostasis. On a conscious level, we're only able to process 50 to 100 bits of information, but that 50 to 100 bits can actually be directed with intention into our subconscious through something called value tagging. We put a value on it, and that stimulates the salience network on an unconscious level to constantly be looking around for opportunities to have that intention manifest. It directs our attention to that, and then once that happens and we see an opportunity, again, that stimulates or empowers the executive control network, which gives you access to memory, experiences, and also the "to-do" part of manifesting.
Using the technique with intention of taking the information that is at a conscious level and, if you will, value tagging it, then that fixes it in the subconscious and gives it the greatest likelihood to manifest.
To maximally have this work, I will again suggest that you have to change your perception of how you see the world. It has to be, in my opinion, in the context of how can I do actions that improve the lives of others or have a larger meaning beyond myself. By doing so, you benefit in all sorts of ways. And, as we were talking about compassion, in some ways, having that perspective is a compassionate act. When you are compassionate, based on our evolutionary solution, every part of your physiology works better. You're happier, you're more open, you're more thoughtful. Your physiology works its best. Your heart rate variability is decreased, which is a good thing. Your heart rate is decreased, your blood pressure is decreased, your immune system is boosted, and your cortisol or stress hormone levels are diminished. The expression of inflammatory proteins is decreased, all from being thoughtful and kind and compassionate.
When you look at the world through the lens of how can I be of service and improve the world, you have a dramatic positive impact on yourself. But the very nature of that changes your goals and aspirations. You realize, yes, it's nice to have a Ferrari, but it's not the Ferrari that identifies me. I don't need it, but it's nice to have it if it's there. And you're not attached to that, you're not attached to these things.
Understanding the Habenula

The habenula acts as a "failure detector" and a "motivation kill switch." When you perceive failure—such as not meeting a personal goal—the habenula activates, which can lead to a decrease in motivation and an increased likelihood of negative emotions. This response can create a cycle where one feels stuck in unproductive habits and patterns, often referred to as the "know-do gap," where individuals know what they should do but struggle to act on it.

Luck = (Passionate) Doing x (Effective) Telling.

The Surface Area of Luck, or your chance of being lucky, is equivalent to the action you take towards your passion, multiplied by the number of people you effectively communicate your passion and activities to.
