Stock market review:

Indian benchmark indices ended higher for the second consecutive session on June 6 amid volatility.

HCL Technologies, Shriram Finance, SBI Life Insurance, Tech Mahindra and SBI were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Hindalco Industries, HUL, Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp and Nestle.

Except pharma and FMCG, all other sectoral indices ended in the green with PSU Bank, IT, Realty up 3-5 percent.

The BSE midcap index gained 2 percent while the smallcap index rose 3 percent.

Indian rupee ended 10 paise lower at 83.47 per dollar on Thursday versus Wednesday's close of 83.37.

Looking ahead:

Billionaire Mark Mobius believes the bull market is intact and the Sensex can even touch the 100,000 mark before Modi completes his third term. The 87-year-old investor, known in global markets as the Indian bull, expects the Sensex to grow at 14-15% over the next 10 years.

Modi said the tailwinds driving India's growth story remain intact. These include a favorable demographic structure and India becoming a major manufacturing base, rivaling China in areas such as smartphones. By 2025, India's GDP will surpass Japan and by 2027 it will surpass Germany to become the world's third-largest economy.

NIFTY: The daily chart shows that a "cross star" pattern was formed at a high level today, indicating that both long and short sides are very hesitant, which is often a signal of a change in the market and requires investors to be vigilant. The key support below is the 22500-22200 area.

BANKNIFTY: After a fierce battle between long and short today, it seems that the bulls have the upper hand and will continue to maintain a consolidation mode in the short term
