Politico: Zelenskyy did not receive an invitation to the EU summit because of Orban

The Ukrainian president wanted to personally attend the summit, which is considering Ukraine's accession to the Union and long-term financial support.

The EU leaders did not do so because of concerns about Orban's reaction, the publication reported.

Orban's press service also published a video of the Hungarian prime minister's meeting with Scholz, Macron, Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel. The EU leaders tried to persuade Orban to change his position on Ukraine.

"EU enlargement is a merit-based process. No exceptions," said Orban.

JUST IN – Reuters: "Three people were arrested in Denmark and one in the Netherlands on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack, Danish police said on Thursday, adding the moves followed a coordinated cross-border police effort.
