Russian Navy exercises in the Eastern Mediterranean

The operational formation of the Navy, together with aviation, conducted exercises in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, in which the MiG-31K with the latest hypersonic Kinzhal missiles took part - these fighters arrived at the Russian Khmeimim airbase in Syria on the eve of the maneuvers.

Also in the air were Tu-22M3, Su-35, Su-34, Il-38 and Tu-142MK anti-submarine aircraft. At sea, they were supported by five ships, including the missile cruiser Moskva, frigates Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov, and two submarines Stary Oskol and Rostov-on-Don.
