Iran carried out at least 1 drone strike against the PDKI in the autonomous region of Kurdistan (Soran Province)

Clashes have intensified right now along the western countryside axes of As-Suwayda between the Druze National Guard and STG forces.

STG are employing drones, while the Guard is retaliating with mortar fire and heavy machine guns.

PJAK statement shows the latest clashes not a sign of a new Kurdish offensive:

"Throughout this period, our party's guerrilla forces have remained in a position of legitimate self-defense rather than offense. While preserving our right to self-defense, we intend to maintain this position and do not support the expansion of a broader regional war, because we believe the Islamic Republic seeks to use the pretext of war to legitimize its domestic repression."

• Channel8 published the full text of a strategic political deal between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the New Generation Movement, aimed at reshaping power dynamics in the Kurdistan Region's government and parliament.

• The agreement outlines joint cooperation in the Kurdistan Parliament and Iraqi Council of Representatives, plus principles for forming the next Kurdistan Regional Government.

• Core governance pledges include transparent management of oil and non-oil revenues, a formal budget law under parliamentary oversight, and clear separation of legislative, executive, oversight, and judicial powers.

• It directly targets household finances with promises to restore some withheld salary savings for public employees, offer marriage loans, cut electricity and service costs, and reduce taxes and fees for tradespeople and small businesses.

• The deal also commits to pursuing jobs for graduates and resolving long-standing issues for teachers and contract employees.

• At the federal level, both parties will coordinate in Baghdad on Kurdistan's budget entitlements, disputed territories, and Peshmerga affairs to defend the region's constitutional rights.

• A joint committee will monitor implementation and conduct periodic progress reviews, with both sides calling it a step toward institutional balance, transparency, and public trust.

• This alignment between Bafel Jalal Talabani's PUK and the reform-oriented New Generation Movement comes amid unresolved talks on parliamentary reactivation and cabinet formation.

• Specific post-election goals include working in the next cabinet to restore salary savings, provide marriage loans, lower electricity prices, and create a civil service institution for employment.

• The agreement stresses drafting bills to improve living standards in health, education, services, taxes, and fees, while also aiming to form a government based on power balance and genuine partnership.

YRK reveals the identities of the martyrs of Mahabad!

The Eastern Kurdistan Defense Units (YRK) have revealed the identities of four guerrillas who were martyred in Mahabad on June 28th as a result of an attack by Iranian regime forces.

A protest and gathering of men and young men took place in the Ismaili-majority city of Salamiyah, east of Hama, this evening, July 4, 2026, after General Security Service militias arrested dozens of Ismaili young men from the city. The arrests came after these young men had objected to Bedouin youths arriving from outside the city harassing girls from Salamiyah and filming them.

When the HTS-led General Security militias intervened, they arrested dozens of young men from the Ismaili community, while providing protection to the Bedouins. A protest subsequently broke out demanding the release of the detainees and the achievement of justice and equality through the impartial enforcement of the law, without sectarian or religious discrimination. Local efforts by Ismaili community notables are underway to calm the situation.

The Damascus government continues to take the Turkish state as a model!

In Aleppo’s Al-Sukkari neighborhood,glue sniffing among children is on the rise.
Just as in Turkey, youths are being introduced to drugs through police and soldiers. A drugged generation is being created.

Clashes in Rojhelat have temporarily decreased but the deployed forces are still in the area.

The halt to the military offensive is to be attributed to the funeral procession of Khameini and not an indication that the issue has been resolved.

It is almost certain that Kurdish officials have requested a dialogue to resolve this issue - it’s a small window for dialogue now.
However, Iran enforces hardline demands on these Kurdish factions and naturally they are not achievable.

The coming weeks will be eventful.

Just like the Assad government in Syria in the past…

There is no difference between the former Assad regime and al-Sharaa now when it comes to the favored regions and the marginalized ones. It is merely an exchange of roles between a repressive regime and one built on a terrorist organization (Al-Qaeda).

All the oil goes to people close to Ahmad al-Sharaa’s brother, and it is distributed only to the regions that serve their personal interests.

As for the people, they have neither power nor strength.
