Prisoner exchange in Hasakah More than 300 SDF fighters are expected to return following a prisoner exchange between the SDF and the Syrian Interim Government in Hasakah.
As part of the agreement reached between the SDF and the Damascus regime, 300 prisoners were released. The prisoners were welcomed in Hasakah by their families, officials, and the public.

In Afrin, Tal Rifaat and Al Bab - a manhunt is underway for Kurds celebrating Newroz and carrying the flag of Kurdistan.
Kurds are being beaten by mobs of Syrians.
Flags are being confiscated and burned.

The incident of the flag being taken down in Kobani is a personal initiative and a provocation. Now, because of this situation, Arab racists and jihadists have taken to the streets all over Syria.
The burning of the Kurdish flag in Afrin and Al-Bab is also a deliberate provocation.
At the same time, especially in Qamishli and other cities of Western Kurdistan, Kurdish youth are reacting to the attacks on the people of Afrin, and they are right to do so. However, certain parties are trying to create major provocations that would set the stage for a war between Kurds and Arabs. There are sides that benefit from this situation. There are those who want this conflict to escalate. All our people should act with caution in this matter.
Furthermore, our people should be vigilant against those parties that are trying to benefit from this by fueling racism.
