Despite the ceasefire agreement signed between us and the Damascus government, the latter continues, in a systematic manner, its military preparations and field escalation in the Jazira and Kobani regions. In this context, our forces were subjected today to two separate attacks in the Jazira region, constituting a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.
While our forces have adhered to, and continue to adhere to, the terms of the ceasefire agreement, we affirm that the military preparations undertaken by the Damascus government stand in complete contradiction to its obligations and reveal deliberate efforts to undermine de-escalation and steer the situation toward war instead of political solutions.
