Official Statement Regarding Prison Security and the Risks of Destabilization in North and East Syria
In light of the security situation imposed by the attacks of Damascus-backed factions, and the accompanying military buildups and ongoing threats against areas of North and East Syria, ISIS terrorist cells are attempting to exploit this escalation to launch attacks targeting prisons holding their members.
Our forces are fully prepared and vigilant, and have taken all necessary measures to ensure prison security and prevent any security breaches. The prisons are currently secure and under complete control. However, the continuation of this situation, and the accompanying military escalation, could lead to general instability, posing a real threat to the security of prisons holding ISIS members and threatening to return the region to square one after years of sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

A woman, who was kidnapped along with her two children and who did not want to give her name for the safety of her family, said, “They took my children and me hostage and released us in exchange for $700.”
The number of people abducted or missing has now exceeded 500.

🚨ATTENTION 📌The Damascus government has reinforced its military forces and weapons not only to the Deir Hafir line but also to the Deir ez-Zor line, where SNA gangs affiliated with the Turkish state and ISIS gangs are active. 📌The reinforcement force, consisting of approximately 150 vehicles, was distributed as follows: 50 vehicles to Deir ez-Zor, 50 vehicles to Abu Kamal, and 50 vehicles to Al Mayadin. In addition, 2 artillery units were positioned on the Salihiya hill opposite Xeranij.

The Damascus government has officially acknowledged the closure of crossings with areas of northern and eastern Syria, revealing the contradiction in its narrative.
Any forced displacement of civilians by Damascus constitutes a war crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Rome Statute.
We call upon the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to condemn these dangerous practices.
The people of Deir Hafer have demonstrated today their unwavering commitment to their land and homes.
