Iran targets US facilities across several Gulf countries and closes the Strait of Hormuz following a new wave of U.S. airstrikes against dozens of Iranian military sites.
The US military reported targeting dozens of sites in Iran, including air defense systems, radar sites, missile and drone facilities, and small vessels.
Iranian media reported explosions in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, Sirik, Jask, and parts of Khuzestan province.
One person was killed and four others were injured in an attack on a water pumping station in Mahshahr.
Iran said it retaliated with missile and drone attacks on US-linked military sites in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Jordan announced it intercepted four missiles, while Kuwait reported its air defense systems engaged hostile aerial targets.

After eight years of occupation, the Turkish military has withdrawn from the village of Basli in the Afrin countryside, allowing residents to return to their homes.
Around 50 families have returned, only to find that many houses had been looted, with belongings reportedly stolen, while some homes had also been demolished.
Residents attributed the damage and alleged theft to Turkish-backed armed groups and Turkish forces.
