Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government are responsible for ensuring the security of the Peshmerga and their families. We know that Iran may initiate a new wave of assassinations. The security institutions of the Kurdistan Region must be vigilant.

NO ONE SHOULD DISTORT THE TRUTH

When two Akıncı UCAV flying at an altitude of around 11,000 meters were shot down over the skies of Qendîl, all UAVs activity over Qendîl was subsequently halted. Can a weakened organization shoot down a UCAV flying at 11,000 meters? To the best of our knowledge, the only powers in the Middle East capable of doing this are Turkey, Iran, and Israel. No one else. The fourth power is our Movement. No one should distort the truth. Our Movement possesses a serious level of technical capability.

If Leader Apo had not made his call, we could have expanded the war much further. We could have struck not only nearby but also distant targets. We could have reached economic resources, oil facilities, and every location up to 800 kilometers deep. Our Movement had these technological means and capabilities.

However, despite all this, our Movement halted the war because it believes in Leader Apo’s strategy of a democratic society and democratic politics.

IF THEY TRY TO DESTROY US THROUGH WAR, WE CAN RESPOND 3-4 TIMES MORE THAN BEFORE

Our people and our society should also know this: we possess these capabilities. Yet we have chosen the path of democratic politics and we take democratic society politics as our basis. We want to implement this strategy.

However, if despite this, an extermination-oriented military attack is launched against us, if they try to destroy us using the old methods of war, we can respond 3-4 times more forcefully than before. We have the ability to respond not only in nearby areas but also in distant locations. Our Movement has this potential. Perhaps our people and those following from afar may not know this, but I believe state officials are aware of it.

UPDATE/ So far, 4 people have died and 18 people have been injured in 3 separate explosions. Entry and exit to Damascus was banned.
Regional sources claimed that the attack was carried out by French jihadist groups. Additionally, some sources stated that the attack was carried out by ISIS. No official statement has been made yet.
