Statement: The Damascus Government Is Moving Toward Escalation Despite the Ceasefire
Despite the ceasefire agreement signed between us and the Damascus government, the latter continues, in a systematic manner, its military preparations and field escalation in the Jazira and Kobani regions. Military build-ups and logistical movements have been observed, clearly indicating an intent to escalate and push the region toward a new confrontation.
In this context, our forces were subjected today to two separate attacks in the Jazira region, constituting a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.
While our forces have adhered to, and continue to adhere to, the terms of the ceasefire agreement, we affirm that the military preparations undertaken by the Damascus government stand in complete contradiction to its obligations and reveal deliberate efforts to undermine de-escalation and steer the situation toward war instead of political solutions.
We call on the international community and relevant parties to exert urgent efforts to ensure compliance with the ceasefire agreement and to prevent any escalatory steps that would threaten security and stability in the region.

🚨Latest Situation in Deir ez-Zor!

According to our local sources, following the Syrian government forces' takeover of Deir ez-Zor, intense pressure and repression is being applied against the local population. There is widespread anger among the people of the region toward violations committed by HTS/SNA/ISIS.
Bread prices have been raised, and street vendors have been banned from operating.

Additionally, according to information we have obtained, the reviving ISIS gangs are now openly active and moving intensely in the area.

HTS has withdrawn its forces to the center of Deir ez-Zor and has effectively left the rural areas to ISIS and SNA forces.

Yeah, The Damascus government has extended the ceasefire for another 15 days; however, according to confirmed information, military movements continue under the name of tribes. They are planning to attack Kurdish regions by using the tribes in the area. For days now on social media, they have been trying to legitimize their attacks by claiming — as part of special warfare policies — that the tribes have risen up because of violations and oppression by the SDF against Arab citizens, and that they have no connection whatsoever with the Damascus government.

Statement on the Ceasefire Extension Agreement

Our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, announce that an agreement has been reached to extend the ceasefire for fifteen days, through international mediation, while dialogue with Damascus continues.

Our forces affirm their commitment to the agreement and their dedication to respecting it, which contributes to de-escalation, the protection of civilians, and the creation of the necessary conditions for stability.
