Statement to public opinion regarding the targeting of a hospital in Sheikh Maqsoud

The so-called “Ministry of Defense” in the Damascus government published a new map claiming to identify locations that will be bombed in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the city of Aleppo. This map includes the “Khaled Fajr” civilian hospital, which has been subjected to four successive artillery bombardments since yesterday.
The inclusion of a civilian medical facility on a declared targeting map constitutes conclusive and documented evidence of prior criminal intent, and is a full-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits targeting medical facilities under any pretext.

Accordingly, we affirm that this map itself represents a clear condemnation of the Damascus government and its affiliates, and we hold it fully and directly responsible for any harm caused to civilians or to medical facilities and civilian infrastructure. We also place this dangerous declaration before public opinion and international and human rights institutions, as it is documented legal evidence of advance planning to commit massacres and grave violations against civilians.

Syrian Government Forces have launched several artillery barrages on the Kurdish neighbourhood Sheikh Maqsoud.
The Khalid hospital has also been struck.

Earlier the Syrian government explicitly announced their intent to bombard the hospital.

Update - The populated neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsoud in the city of Aleppo is being subjected to violent and intense bombardment by factions and militias affiliated with the Damascus government, using various types of heavy weapons, tanks and cannons, in a massive attack targeting residential neighborhoods and reflecting a pattern of systematic war of extermination against the population, similar to the methods of destructive wars against populated areas.
While government militias are trying to penetrate with tanks, amid ongoing violent resistance from our forces.
