PKK Executive Committee Member Besê Hozat:

▪️The Framework Law is incomplete, contradictory within itself, and a paradoxical law. There is no process that is “running smoothly”; it is progressing extremely slowly. For the process to move forward, our Leader must be in conditions that allow him to officially and practically lead the process.

▪️The PKK is a result of the Kurdish issue. A democratic constitution is a fundamental necessity for Turkey. Constitutional debates are being used as a political tool.

▪️The process cannot succeed without Turkey democratizing and taking political and legal steps. Our Leader is waging an extremely principled struggle. The freedom of Leader Apo means Turkey entering a process of democratization.

▪️Many forces in Turkey are conducting struggles along their own paths, but these struggles are not being united. If the struggles of democratic forces unite, a democratic movement will emerge.

▪️The unification of the Peshmerga is a positive development. Establishing a democratic government in Başûr Kurdistan is very important. The era based on party and family rule must now be overcome. A democratic unity government representing all sectors must be formed.

▪️There is currently a centralized, monist and fascist system in Damascus. It is clear that the democratic integration efforts being carried out in Rojava are not being implemented in accordance with their essence, and that the process is not progressing. Democratic integration can only take place through a democratic state.

▪️The “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” Revolution created a social revolution. If Iran closes its eyes to this, it will lose everything. PJAK adopted the correct strategy from the very beginning. The Kurdish struggle became an important example. The policy of executions can never be accepted!

▪️Leader Apo is the coordinator of the process. Our Leader is extremely determined, persistent and committed to advancing this process. But he wants to see the same determination, commitment and seriousness from the other side. As a movement, we also want to see this.

General Mazloum Abdi @MazloumAbdi : We call on Kurdish families to send their children to schools where education is provided in the Kurdish language.

▪️ Learning in the mother tongue is a natural right.
▪️ Developing the Kurdish language is a fundamental part of our struggle.

▪️ Over the past 14 years, despite the war, a Kurdish-language education system was built in Rojava. It was a historic step despite its shortcomings. We salute the families, teachers, and staff who maintained it.

▪️ Since the fall of the Baath regime one year and eight months ago, we have been working to officially include the Kurdish language in the Syrian education system. Despite the negotiations, the Ministry of Education’s decision was not sufficient, so the students and the people continued their struggle, and we stand with them.

General Mazloum Abdi: The Kurdish language is our identity, and education in the mother tongue is a natural right of the Kurdish people.

▪️ With the start of the school year, we are in a transitional phase. Children will continue their education in Kurdish while learning Arabic, and we call on families to send them to schools where Kurdish is the primary language, to ensure a successful transition and advance Kurdish education next year.

▪️ Ninth grade and the baccalaureate will follow the Autonomous Administration’s system this year. We ask students to continue according to the previous Kurdish education system to better secure their future.

▪️ Negotiations continue on the official recognition of Rojava University and Kobani University. We hope for an appropriate decision for students. Kurdish-educated baccalaureate students seeking admission should submit their certificate equivalency according to the Higher Education Ministry’s system.
