A report published by Middle East24 (ME24) revealed the growing influence of figures linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and the Syrian government in Daraa Governorate in southern Syria, through religious institutions, charities and local initiatives, in a move that raises concerns about the expanding influence of Islamist movements in the region.

25 young men from the city of Kobanî are stranded on the border between Eastern and Southern Kurdistan.
25 young men, who are asylum seekers, announced through a video published on the Iran–Iraq border (Rojhilat–Başûr) that they were arrested by the Peshmerga after entering the Kurdistan Region and were taken into Eastern Kurdistan. They were also arrested by Iranian security forces and returned to the Kurdistan Region, where they were arrested again.
They are now stranded in the border areas without water or food and are calling for help.
