A 7-year-old student was beaten inside Ghousn Zaytoun School in Sahnaya, in the Damascus countryside, while the school administration justified the use of violence on the grounds that it had permission from the Ministry of Education.
The incident comes after a member of the Syrian People’s Assembly called for the use of violence in schools, in a scene that brings to mind the intimidation and physical punishment methods imposed by ISIS on children and students.

Alan was beaten during his detention at the checkpoint, and since his arrest, details about his condition and whereabouts remain unknown.

3 members of the General Security Forces were killed and several others were injured during a security operation carried out to arrest a wanted suspect in the city of Al-Sanamayn, in the Daraa countryside.
The operation came after intelligence information indicated that an armed faction wanted to carry out attacks against Israeli forces inside Syrian territory.
Clashes are still ongoing in the area.
