Afrin: Around 600 mercenaries from the Turkish-backed Al-Amshat faction withdrew from their military positions in Shiye district, Afrin, after pulling out of the villages of Onqla, Sanara, Marwaniya al-Fawqani, and Marwaniya al-Tahtani. They were redeployed near the Iraqi border in Deir ez-Zor.

In regard to yesterdays events in Syria - Abu Amsha (Awad al Jassem) has become the deputy commander of Syrias Central Corps, in charge of Homs, Hama and its desert regions.
Before that, Amsha was the commander of the Northern Corps in charge of Afrin, Aleppo and Manbij (+Later the Kurdish SDF areas).
This is a clear degradation of rank.
The mobilisation of the Syrian Military to the highest level of alert can be explained by this development - even though an official explanation does not exist - Amsha has been degraded and he couldβve possibly mobilised his forces to force Damascus to revert this change.
The Syrian Government however is thereby also showing that the Syrian Military is not unified nor adheres to the military system of the Syrian state - Jolani having to mobilise all forces across Syria proves that the STG is aware of this fact and also aware that former SNA factions continue to operate outside of the STG; otherwise he wouldnβt have feared that Amsha may mobilise his forces, which are part of the STG.
The SDF - which is now part of the STG and will announce its dissolution soon enough - will become the core of the northern corps.

Much more is to come - the former SNA faction leaders will be discarded, humiliated and eventually cease to exist.
Then Jolani will have to face his biggest challenge yet.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan:
Israel's attacks targeting Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity are one of the most serious threats to the country's stability.
The international community must demonstrate a stronger response in the face of Israel's occupying mentality.
It must apply the necessary pressure to ensure compliance with the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement and respect for Syria's sovereignty.

One of the victims of the gang known as "Abu Amsha" is Isra Yusuf Khalil, whose husband was injured while working as a mercenary in Libya and who recounted being raped. This incident shows how the gang, taking advantage of Isra Yusuf Khalil and her siblings' financial situation, forced her, who was three months pregnant, into prostitution after threatening to kill her and her family.
Abu Amsha, known in Libya as the "man who raped the wives of mercenaries" and who, while in Syria, sent women to Libya to force their husbands to engage in immoral acts with him, must be completely removed from his post.
