Provocations continue in the Kobani countryside! While the siege of Kobani by groups affiliated with the Turkish state continues, supporters of the Damascus government are trying to enter villages controlled by the SDF between Kobani and Tal Abyad (Girespî).
Syrias Mudjaheddin are gathering south of Kobane, claiming that the region belongs to them and demanding passage into the city and surrounding villages.

This is the Syrian Government trying to further apply pressure on the Kurdish people to make more concessions.

Not only is this a violation of the agreement between the SDF and the STG - it is also a continuation of the Ba’ath-Arabisation policy in Kurdish regions of Syria.

Urgent

A large tribal brawl is currently taking place in the village of Al-Hariri, in the countryside of Al-Shaddadi district, south of Al-Hasakah. There are injuries resulting from the use of sticks and fists.

The Kurdish young man, Mohamed Ali Abdelkader Kalla, was captured in the town of Mansoura in the Raqqa countryside and subsequently executed without trial by Damascus regime forces.

He had been missing for months, and his family was searching for him.

This is yet another crime added to the record of HTS/Damascus forces, which has committed numerous extrajudicial executions of prisoners.

Today the regime in Iran carried out 2 attacks against the Kurdish opposition parties from Rojhelat based in the autonomous region of Kurdistan.

Both attacks were carried out with explosive laden drones.
The first attack struck a camp of the Komala near Surdash (Slemani) and the second attack struck the PDKI camp near Koya.
In both cases the camps that were struck were inhabited by the families of the Peshmerga; they are not military bases.

The media monopoly over the affairs of Syria lies within the sphere of STG supporters.

When one looks at their carefully crafted narratives, one might actually assume that the STG has become pragmatic

Yet, when we look at what happens outside of the media sphere - a bitter reality sets in.
Here, in a primary school - the school administration jokes about beating children with a hose as a form of punishment to discipline them.
Upon seeing the camera, the children’s first instinct is to show the Tauwhid finger (which means *One Syria* according to the Middle East Institute)

Nothing has changed in Syria - one simply sees a selectively crafted narrative about Syria that serves the interests of the current administration.

The Syrian government's propaganda backfired. The Syrian interim Ministry of Interior released old photographs from Palestine, claiming they were seized during an operation.

Ali Faleh Kazim al Zaidi has been nominated for the position of prime minister of Iraq by the coordination framework.

Al Zaidi has been mostly known as the owner of an Islamic-Bank (Al Janoob bank for investment and finance) that has been sanctioned by the USA for money laundering schemes involving Iran.

He has been known as a shadow figure that holds significant influence within the political sphere of the PMF-Network in Iraq.

There are a lot of things to say but let’s say something that must be said: it could’ve been worse.

In between no candidate and Maliki inserting himself as a candidate - a prime minister that is guilty of money laundering schemes involving Iran is the best (yet still bad) outcome.

One has to be realistic, the Coordination Framework holds the power in Iraq and any candidate that challenges the current power structure has no chance of actually becoming the prime minister.
It is more than just the expected outcome that a figure who is close to the coordination framework has become the prime minister of Iraq.

From today on, he has 30 days to present his cabinet.

Many have hoped for a different prime minister - falsely assuming that the recent war between the USA and Iran would lead to a realisation within the Iraqi leadership that the current course of Iraq must be changed.

As the economic crisis deepens in areas controlled by the interim Damascus government, cities have turned into piles of garbage. Residential neighborhoods within the city of Aleppo are drowning in garbage, with sheep grazing on it.

The World Bank has agreed to provide $225 million in grant funding through the International Development Association to support water and sanitation projects in Syria, with the aim of strengthening basic services and improving living conditions.

The funding is split between a $150 million water sector rehabilitation project focusing on repairing water and sanitation networks, and a $75 million health sector support project aimed at improving access to and efficiency of healthcare services.

Will the Damascus government distribute the aid to its own family and supporters, or will it put it at the service of all the people of Syria?
