Democratic Autonomous Administration in Kobani
Statement to the Public!

According to the agreement signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian transitional government on January 29, it was supposed to integrate institutions in the region, recognize the local will of its people, and appoint administrators of institutions from among the local population.

Based on this, the governor of Al-Hasakah and several other administrators were appointed from the local residents of the province. However, this process has not been applied in the Kobani region, where administrators of local institutions are being appointed from outside the area.

So far, a district director and several administrators have been appointed in the subdistricts of Sirrin and Al-Jalabiyah without consulting the people of Kobani.

These steps and measures taken by the Aleppo Governorate administration do not align with the provisions of the January 29 agreement, nor do they comply with the terms of the integration agreement concluded between the transitional government in Damascus and the Syrian Democratic Forces. These actions are hindering the implementation of the integration process.

After the Aleppo Governorate administration appointed administrators for institutions in the Al-Jalabiyah subdistrict, residents of Kobani and Al-Jalabiyah gathered to issue a statement expressing their stance on these steps. However, internal security forces and military forces affiliated with the transitional government intervened, prevented the residents from issuing the statement, physically assaulted some of them, and attempted to detain a number of individuals.

We, as the administration and people of Kobani, condemn and denounce these actions. We call on the transitional government to adhere to the provisions of the January 29 agreement and implement the integration process accordingly. We affirm that we will not accept any measures outside this framework.

@MehmudXelilEli: In embodiment of our humanitarian responsibility and national duty towards the sons and daughters of our people, and as a continuation of the efforts made to organize the return of our families, the second batch of our displaced people heading to the Afrin region will be organized.

This step comes based on the understandings and arrangements that were previously approved, and following the positive evaluation of the first batch's arrival process, which safely reached its destination.

The second convoy is scheduled to begin its journey at exactly 6:00 AM tomorrow morning. The gathering and departure point has been set at the "Martyr Yusuf Kilo Roundabout" in the city of Qamishli. The convoy, consisting of 200 families, will then proceed along the international road (M4) towards the Afrin region.

While we affirm the continuation of our work to ensure a safe and organized return for all our families, we urge our people who are registered in this batch to adhere to the specified time and place to ensure the process proceeds according to the scheduled timetable.
