The incident of the flag being taken down in Kobani is a personal initiative and a provocation. Now, because of this situation, Arab racists and jihadists have taken to the streets all over Syria.
The burning of the Kurdish flag in Afrin and Al-Bab is also a deliberate provocation.
At the same time, especially in Qamishli and other cities of Western Kurdistan, Kurdish youth are reacting to the attacks on the people of Afrin, and they are right to do so. However, certain parties are trying to create major provocations that would set the stage for a war between Kurds and Arabs. There are sides that benefit from this situation. There are those who want this conflict to escalate. All our people should act with caution in this matter.

Furthermore, our people should be vigilant against those parties that are trying to benefit from this by fueling racism.

Syrian Deputy Defense Minister Sipan Hemo met with the public in Qamishlo, where protests were held against attacks on Kurds in Afrin and Aleppo, in order to prevent provocations.
In this context, he asked the public to carry out their civil protests in another neighborhood.
