The gang leader known as Rami al-Hun, whose real name is Rami Asaad Taha, has been appointed as the Internal Security Commander of Raqqa Governorate.
This individual, Rami Asaad Al-Taha, from the Bu Shaaban tribe, previously served as the head of the Information Branch and a security officer in the Sarmada region.
Also known as Rami al-Hun, the so-called Rami Asaad Taha was an emir (leader) of ISIS during the period when ISIS controlled Raqqa. He joined ISIS ranks in the Al-Shaddadi town of Hasakah Governorate before the organization moved its former capital to Raqqa.
In 2017, after learning that Turkey was hiring former ISIS members with high salaries, he fled to Turkey and later settled in Azaz. He joined the gang group Ahrar al-Sharqiya, which Turkey reportedly formed from the remnants of Al-Qaeda, particularly to fight Kurdish forces in Syria. In 2021, he was sent to Libya by the Turkish state.

The widely shared footage of a Syrian woman who greeted Syrian Government Forces south of Qamishlo has been revealed to be from a family of a Syrian military commander (Wasmi family)
This isn’t unusual - the Syrian Government has staged dozens of such videos.
Certain Arab components within the region of Qamishlo are certainly happy to see the STG entering these areas - however these type of staged videos are nothing but propaganda.

In usual fashion - the Syrian governmental media is celebrating the big economic deals announced between the USA (Chevron) and the Syrian Government.
It must be clear: these are Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which means that the USA/Chevron has reached an agreement with the STG that they will do that investment but they aren’t doing the investment now or in the near future.
These investments will manifest after the transitional phase.
Similar to the many economic deals that the Syrian Government has announced, these are mere MOUs.
What the Syrian Governmental Media does with these MOUs is selling major successes to their people.
Credibility building measures as well as pacifying the public which is very dissatisfied with the rising costs of goods and services in Syria

-This moment is a historic victory in the struggle of the Kurdish people, who have resisted for 14 years.
-The coming stage requires unity of ranks and strengthening the spirit of solidarity among the various components, as well as joint work to consolidate security and stability and build institutions that serve the aspirations of the citizens.
