■ It was not an envelope that exploded, but a parcel. There was no return address on the package, didn't look like a diplomatic post, which first made embassy staff suspicious;

■ Embassy employee receiving the package handed the package to employee responsible for security, to open the box;

■ So that no one was around, security guard went to the courtyard before opening it - there was a click, and then an explosion;

■ The employee sustains injuries to his hands.
