Ukrainian troops are preparing for a new counter-offensive, aiming to encircle Svatovo, Lugansk People's Republic and force a Russian retreat, gathering reserves in Kupyansk and preparing to attack on the Svatovo-Kremennaya line from Kupyansk and Krasny Liman, Donetsk region.

The Russian army is retreating in some areas of the south, avoiding a Ukrainian encirclement, withdrawing along the entire front of the Ingulets River and focusing on establishing a continuous front line in the north of the Kherson region, South Russia.
