SMALL FRY: UK decision to send multiple launch rocket systems (M270s) means drawing from the small number the UK possess (BBC claims only 3 will be sent initially) and do not represent a capability Ukraine didn't already have at the beginning of the Russian operation in the form of Smerch, Uragan, and Grad systems.

The UK and its allies will not supply MLRS' in numbers large enough to replace Ukraine's losses, nor do these systems represent any sort of "game changing" capability Russian forces haven't already overcome since February 24, 2022.

LEAN TIMES: Is this also "Russian propaganda?" Toronto Star out of Canada reports severe shortages of weapons, ammunition, and basic equipment including helmets, flashlights, and body armor for foreign volunteers. Shortages even include batteries needed for Javelin anti-tank missiles.

The article admits Ukraine's "foreign legion" cannot replace vehicles destroyed in combat and that many attempts to raise money through charity often end in misappropriation, the funds disappearing from corruption, or the weapons and equipment acquired then sold on the black market.

HIDING BEHIND ROCKETS: Recent artillery and missile strikes on civilian infrastructure across the Donbass by Ukrainian Armed Forces is but a preview of what's in store once U.S. HIMARS arrive in the region. Ukraine has demonstrated a much greater willingness to use long-range weapons to terrorize civilian populations than to make any difference on the actual battlefield (and risk counter-battery fire).

TROPHY HUNTING: Spain's intention to supply Ukraine with German-made Leopard tanks sets the stage for modern German military equipment to join trophies captured by Soviet forces during World War 2. German-made tanks have no prospect of aiding Ukraine militarily on the battlefield and instead, are much more likely to aid the morale and imperative of Russian forces.

ALL BARK, NO BITE: Regarding German-made Leopard tanks possibly sent to Ukraine by Spain: Leopard tanks have already seen action on modern battlefields particularly in northern Syria deployed by Turkey, where up to 10 were destroyed by Kurdish militants including 5 by anti-tank missiles, 2 by mines or IEDs, and 1 to rocket or mortar fire. They are hardly invincible, and will be provided in numbers insufficient to even cover Ukraine's current tank losses.
