It is written that everyone is obliged to respect & observe the territorial integrity of states whose governments respect the principle of self-determination of peoples and, by virtue of this, represent the entire population living in a given territory.
Who can argue that after the coup of 2014, the ultra-radicals who came to power, first of all declared their intention to deprive the Russian language of [its official] status in Ukraine & who did they represent in Crimea or Donbass? No one.
Therefore, the arguments that the UN Charter is "about territorial integrity" are not true - Russian FM Lavrov.
