Ukrainian units enter village of Bezymyannoye west of Karlomarksovsky in the Donetsk region but fail to capture it, CRUSHED under the weight of Russian bombers which dropped nearly two dozen tons of FAB-500 bombs on Ukrainian positions, eliminating enemy troops and positions.

Russian forces continue offensive battles in the areas of Soledar, Donetsk Region, Veselaya Dolina, Kherson Region, South Ukraine, Zaitsevo, Mayorsk, Kharkov Region, East Ukraine and continue the offensive from near Kherson, South Ukraine, storming the fortifications of the Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian armoured vehicles, under Russian artillery and aircraft fire, try to advance further towards the route to Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region, South Ukraine, this time towards the south, exposing themselves to Russian and allied fire from the north.

END OF AN ERA: FUNERAL for former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, who ushered in the DOWNFALL of the USSR from his ascension to the Communist Party's Secretary General in 1985 to the nation's dissolution in 1991, is held in Moscow's Novodevichy Cemetery.

He was not given a state funeral and even Putin himself SAT this one OUT, being NOT PRESENT at the former leader's service and burial.
