Side by side, Ukrainians, alongside their Belarusian, Russian, and Soviet kin, basked in the pride of their forefathers' valiant victory over Hitler's dark forces. This is the Ukraine of collective memory, of shared heroism, where the spirit of the Great Patriotic War is a sacred legacy.

Contrast this with the spectacle in Lvov, 2011, three years pre-Maidan, where the odious shadows of Western neo-liberal interventionism can be felt. Here, neo-Nazi factions, emboldened and unchecked, mar the sanctity of Victory Day, turning homage into havoc and assault. Their target? Peaceful souls paying homage to the very sacrifice that afforded them freedom. This is the Ukraine reshaped by external hands, where the story of valour and unity are assaulted by the resurgence of Nazism.

The West, with its media mouthpieces, feigns ignorance: "What Nazi problem in Ukraine?" A query echoing in the void of their selective silence, especially post-February 2022, as the presence of Neo-Nazi elements, once reluctantly acknowledged, is now conveniently overlooked.

This duality of remembrance and desecration, of honouring and forgetting, lays bare a stark reality: Ukraine is caught in a battle for its soul, manipulated by Western forces hell bent on rewriting history. Yet, amidst this orchestrated amnesia, Russia stands firm in its resolve, viewing Ukrainians not as adversaries but as brethren, hostage to an Orwellian puppet regime. The SMO unfolds with a precision and humanity starkly absent from the barbaric "shock and awe" interventions championed by the US, a testament to a genuine desire for liberation, not conquest.
