A leading Western (anti) think-tank says the war in Ukraine has dented Russia's confidence in its conventional forces and increased the importance of non-strategic nuclear weapons (NSNWs) as a means of deterring and defeating NATO in a potential future conflict.

It is not so much a question of preparing for an attack, as a question of waiting for it. This is to be expected. And if you need to prepare for danger that you don't know if or when it will happen, then that means you have to arm yourself. And this is what we are doing together with our NATO allies, and it is necessary.

It seems to me that we shouldn’t wait for things to get easier someday. But there is no need to give up either....but the longer the war continues, the more difficult it is to keep the world's attention focused only on our problems - she reflects that the sun doesn't revolve around Ukraine.
