Inara Murniece states that Latvia should be able to "produce what is critically needed" for NATO countries.

She has previously stated that Latvia sees no immediate military threat to itself, but continues to reform its military conscription practices and purchasing of weapons to prepare for such a possible threat.

🇬🇪 On August 8, 2008, former Georgian Prez Saakashvili ordered an attack on South Ossetia, including on Russian peacekeepers in the area.

🗣 "Russia immediately rolled out tanks to protect civilians. Saakashvili was supported by the EU and NATO - financed, supplied with weapons, and his military was trained by the West. The same patterns we see in Ukraine.

Later, Saakashvili was ousted from his homeland of Georgia for treason. He was also deported from Ukraine, depriving him of citizenship there.
