🇷🇺 JUST A SCRATCH: Normally losing the tail would send a chopper tumbling to ground like American Black Hawk helicopters in movies, but not this Russian Ka-52 Alligator, which flies back to base unfazed after its tail reportedly takes hit from Ukrainian air defenses.

Ka-52’s strength lies in its coaxial rotors - 2 rotors spinning in opposite directions - meaning it can maintain stability even if the tail comes off.

It also comes with ejection system, rare for choppers, meaning pilots can live to fight another day.
