◾Ukrainian forces launched offensive toward Novodonetskoye (see map) and were attacked with comprehensive fire attack by army, ground-assault and operational-tactical aviation, missile troops and artillery, as well as heavy flamethrower systems.

◾Enemy forces suffered HEAVY losses, losing over 1,500 servicemen, 28 tanks, 8 Leopard tanks, 3 French-manufactured AMX-10 wheeled tanks and 109 armored fighting vehicles.
