🇵🇰 Multiple government buildings burn down in Pakistan, during mass unrest throughout country.
Former Prime Minister Khan was arrested overnight on alleged corruption charges - realistically, on not sanctioning Russia as per Washington's orders.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that several military bases in Pakistan were also attacked. Mr Khan had previously claimed in a public rally, that the army’s intelligence arm was plotting to murder him.
A destabilized Pakistan, a nuclear power, can lead to destructive consequences in the region, as it also has tense relations with neighboring India.

As the country faces political turmoil - the first shipment of more than 750,000 barrels of Russian oil (significantly under market price) is anticipated in June, with the Bank of China said to be facilitating the transaction in Yuan, reducing the use of the US dollar.
Earlier, the governments of China and Brazil agreed to dump the US dollar in trade between the countries to directly use their national currencies.

A police officer opened fire on security guards and visitors in Africa's oldest synagogue in Djerba, Tunisia - killing 4 people.
He had reportedly killed a colleague before attacking pilgrims at the Lag Ba’Omer festival. In 2002 Al-Qaeda killed 22 European tourists at this site with a truck bomb.
