🇸🇾🇦🇪 WELCOME BACK?: United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Al Nahyan tells Syria's Assad it's time for diplomatically-isolated Damascus to be reintegrated into the wider Arab family.

The UAE is spearheading efforts for Syria to return to the Arab League, from which it was suspended in 2011 under US pressure.

Lebanon and Yemen were never on board with the suspension, while Qatar opposes the reintegration of Syria. Many other Arab countries have not announced a position.
