Iranian Parliament News Agency chief Mehdi Rahimi said Thursday that Tehran has warned Pakistan about the possibility of US President Donald Trump deploying mercenary forces along Iran's eastern border.

Speaking to Al Mayadeen, Rahimi said the warning was delivered by Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni during discussions with Pakistani officials, amid concerns over potential security threats along the two countries' shared border.

Rahimi stated that relations between Iran and Pakistan are strong, noting that Islamabad had played a mediating role during the recent war as concerns grew over threats emerging from Iran's eastern frontier.

He said the Iranian interior minister's visit was aimed at emphasizing the need for Pakistan to ensure lasting security along the shared border and prevent any hostile activity from being launched against Iran from its territory.

Rahimi added that the Iranian minister warned Pakistani officials that Tehran would respond decisively and with full force to any terrorist aggression against the country.

US considers operation to seize enriched uranium in Iran — NYP

The US military is reportedly examining a large-scale operation to seize enriched uranium from Iran’s fortified nuclear sites.

The mission could involve thousands of troops tasked with securing the facilities, clearing mines and damaged entrances, and protecting evacuation routes. A small special forces unit would directly extract the nuclear material.

“This could be one of the most complex, if not the most complex, operations in military history,” CSIS expert Joseph Rodgers said.

No final decision has been made.
