Ingress Is Almost 7 Years Old. Why Do You Still Play?

I thought about creating an online Poll with answers but it wouldn't represent exactly why people still play. An open discussion I feel is much better. For example: I play because I want to walk as much as possible. Ingress gives me goals to do this. I also like exploring new places and getting MU. I don't care much about attacking enemies unless their Portals are in the way. So basically, I keep playing Ingress for exercise and get to new places. I don't do it much just for attacking enemy Portals. If you've been playing for a while, why do you keep on playing? Is it something to do while you commute? While you take a short walk? Do you try and level up? Do you try to get MU's?

I want to play but..

I love ingress. It's fun and I used to play a lot. But heres the issue. In level 6 and I live in new Orleans, most of the area around and in new Orleans is taken over by blue and most of the portals are too powerful for me to do anything. So it makes it hard to play when I canr do anything

Would AP for Reviewing Submissions Help L12+ Agents Review More?

OPR Numbers are down again. Do we need 25/50 AP given for each portal submission reviewed (And/or AP for an approved Portal)? I think the Upgrade program is great for me, but it it seems that many L12+ Agents don't review much. Maybe extra AP could get a decent percentage of L12+ players into reviewing?

Don’t worry, I have a stupid question right here.

What’s going on with portal submissions? I “ran out” or something on Redacted (when do I get more, and why didn’t the game warn me I was running low?), and it’s not at all clear how to even submit them with Prime (by which I mean that it isn’t handled the same way).

New to ingress, wanted to ask a few questions

Hello everyone,

I downloaded ingress a few days ago and have been playing it with a friend for a hour a day. I reached level 3 but I finished all of the resonators. I wanted to ask if there's other ways to get resonators except from hacking and also how to get higher level resonators(every time I hack a portal it gives me a single lv.1 resonator).

OPR Agreements not calculating correctly for Upgrades

I have been reviewing OPR for 10 days.

My In game badge Recon Badge shows 1247 Agreements.

My OPR Approval/Rejection shows a total of 1245 Agreements.

I have earned 12 upgrades and have 32 toward my next, meaning 1232 agreements.


I have always maintained Great Status, I have pending submissions meaning I didn't cap at 10 agreements. Why are their 3 different total numbers for my Agreements between OPR & Ingress App?

Where to submit if I have screenshot proof of a spoofer traveling impossible distances to attack/field?

So I'm standing at a portal, I realize it's been deployed on by ENL while I was hacking it, I'm the only person there. This guy then spoofs around attacking, linking, and fielding across the local area at impossible speeds for walking/areas you can't drive. I have screenshots of the actions, but where would I submit it and would niantic care?

How to find events ?

Okay I have finished the tutorial , when I tried searching for events on the ingress webpage I couldn’t find anything in my area San Diego.

I do see the chat part of the app...

But how do I find events in my area

I started ingress to meet people and get out of my house.

But do I just do missions and hope people show up ?

Most of the answers to how to find events I have found involve aspects of ingress I don’t know yet using terms I am unfamiliar with.

What takes precedence in OPR, Street View or Photspheres? Or is it based on date?

We have several new buildings in our area that have are and art pieces on them that seem to be portal worthy that do not exist on Satellite or Street View. I have submitted photospheres but the photospheres don't seem to show up where there is overlapping street view images from several years ago.

What takes precedence in OPR? Is there even a way to preview this information?
