The Architecture: Who Does What?
To understand the integration, you must first assign a "role" to each tool in the defense ecosystem:

Firewall (The Gatekeeper):

Role: Network Protection.

Function: Blocks unauthorized access at the perimeter. It generates logs about traffic (Allowed/Denied connections).

EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response - The Local Watchdog):

Role: Device Protection.

Function: Sits on laptops/servers. It watches processes and file activity. It can kill a process or isolate a specific device.

XDR (Extended Detection & Response - The Connector):

Role: Unified Detection.

Function: XDR is an evolution of EDR. Instead of just looking at the endpoint, it natively connects the EDR data with Firewall (Network) and Email data to see the "full picture" of an attack chain automatically.

SIEM (Security Information & Event Management - The Brain):

Role: Analysis & Compliance.

Function: It collects logs from EVERYTHING (Firewall, EDR, XDR, Printers, Badges, Servers). It correlates disparate events (e.g., "5 failed logins" + "VPN connection" = "Brute Force").

SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response - The Muscle):

Role: Automation.

Function: It takes the alert from the SIEM/XDR and executes a "Playbook" to fix it without human intervention.

📌 Open Positions:

🔹 𝐕𝐀𝐏𝐓 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧
• Basic understanding of networking, web/app security
• Exposure to OWASP Top 10, tools like Nmap, Burp, Nessus
• Strong in performing hands-on testing and bug bounty exposure will be edge point.

🔹 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫
• 3-4 years of experience in Web/API/Network and Mobile VAPT
• Hands-on with OWASP, CVE analysis, exploitation & reporting
• Familiarity with industry methodologies and tools (CERT-In and CREST mandate)

🔹 𝐆𝐑𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 (𝐂𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝)
• Experience in IT audits, risk assessment & compliance
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, SOC, regulatory frameworks
• CISA certification (mandatory/preferred) and edge for DPDPA, SEBI and RBI Governance having exposure or past experiences
