We’re excited to share that Roha Team, a group of talented 3rd year Information Systems students, won 2nd place at the Reboot the Earth 2025 Hackathon, organized by FAO, Ministry of Innovation and Technology – Ethiopia, and Ethiopian Youth Entrepreneurs Association (EYEA). 🚀
In just two days, they built an AI-powered platform 'Shemeta' that:
✅ Combines kebele-level satellite data with market demand trends to give farmers personalized crop recommendations in their local languages.
✅ Includes a marketplace view for exporters & buyers — helping farmers connect with the right buyers at the right time.
✅ Has a sustainable business model by providing actionable insights to large-scale agribusinesses.
