The chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of the Russian Federation, Ravil Gaynutdin, stated that the entire Islamic world is sympathetic to the decision by Russian President Vladimir Putin to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine.

"The entire Islamic and Arab worlds support our president's decision. They expect success for the Russian policy, they are not at all interested in the hegemony of one state, or in creating a unipolar world. Therefore, no Arab countries have imposed sanctions on Russia, and that's really important. They are under enormous pressure from the members of NATO, but despite this they oppose sanctions against our country. This means that the Islamic world has deep respect for our country and our Muslims." he said in an interview with 'Russia-24'.
