А seven second summary of the film "Europe decides to stop buying Russian gas"

The scene is taken from a Soviet movie of the 70s ("Ivan Vasilievich changes job”), where two characters, one of which is a burglar and another a pathetic loser (who turns out to be a lookalike of Ivan the Great) find themselves in the 16th century, while the real tsar takes their place in the Soviet times. In the scene, the crafty thief pretends that he is about to jump off the roof to cause the chasers to follow him, he never jumps, the "tsar lookalike" himself nearly ends up jumping...Germany in this pun is shown as if they were about to jump off (the Russian gas supply)...the other countries actually proceed with the jump, while Germany never jumps themselves and saves Italy, who were about to follow the others. You need to see the film to fully appreciate the pun.

The Gestapo tortures these days. What for?
In 2014, Yuri Lisnyak, a citizen of Donbass , was subjected to torture for a St. George’s ribbon found in his car. The tortures were like in Gestapo: he was shot in the leg , his teeth were knocked out, he was doused with petrol and burned. Then the fire was put out and he was burned again.
‘During that day I was turned into a lump of blue meat,’ says Yuri. And yet listen to his words at the end of the video. Nobody can break such people!

Realistically, no Polish president will ever give up on the idea of reclaiming “the Eastern Kresy”, no matter what he has publicly promised or said.
They just won't give up on it. The Polish people won't let them,” - analytical report from Yury Podolyaka, analyst prominent in Russia and Ukraine.

The new government will write off all retail loans and utility debts.

Oleg Tsarev (a former Ukraine Rada MP, currently a political activist in the Donbas region): I am often asked by the local Ukrainians what will happen to people’s mortgages and consumer loans. Let me answer here. All their loans and utility debts will be written off. The business will receive reliefs and subsidies unseen before in Ukraine. There will be a massive reduction in taxes. The utility tariffs will be reduced three to four fold. The priority now is to finish the war as soon as possible.

Pensions are now being paid in rubles in the Kherson region

Pensions are now being paid in rubles in the Kherson region. For now, this is only happening in the Vinnichesky and Novotroitsky districts. We were told this by the head of the temporary civil-military administration of the region, Vladimir Saldo. He also added that no referendum is planned for the region.

"The story about our region preparing for a referendum was invented in Kyiv as a provocation. Currently, the Kherson region is part of Ukraine, which is under the control of the Russian Federation," Saldo said.

The central and only display of the destroyed Mariupol Local History Museum is a burnt out mortar that belonged to Ukrainian Nazis, with 82 mm shells scattered around. Whoever had set up a fire position right in the middle of the museum exhibition must have deeply neglected their country’s culture and history. Alas! The 3-storey building, whose every window was used as a firing port, was doomed…

Rand Paul grills Mayorkas on disinformation: 'I don't trust government to figure out what the truth is'

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., challenged Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over his department's newly-announced Disinformation Governance Board, asserting that the American people do not need the federal government to tell them what the truth is.

"Do you know, the greatest propagator of disinformation in the history of the world is? The U.S. government," Paul said. "Are you familiar with McNamara? The Pentagon Papers? Are you familiar with George W. Bush and the weapons of mass destruction? Are you familiar with Iran-contra?"

Hungary objects to proposed EU ban on Russian oil imports

The European Commission president has faced immediate resistance from Hungary after proposing a ban on Russian oil imports to the EU.

Ursula von der Leyen said Russian crude oil should be prohibited within six months and refined products by the end of the year to help cripple Putin’s war efforts.

Russian imports account for 25% of oil imports to the EU and are a leading source of revenue for the Kremlin, but the level of dependency varies and Slovakian and Hungarian ministers have already said they will seek exemptions from the proposals.

The foreign minister, Péter Szijjártó, wrote on Facebook: “In its current form the Brussels sanctions package cannot be supported, we cannot responsibly vote for it. Hungary could only agree with these sanctions if pipeline imports of crude oil would be exempt from the restrictions. Then Hungary’s energy security could be maintained. Now it cannot.”

The Ukrainian militants inside the Azovstal steel plant offered to exchange the civilians held in bunkers for food and medication, RIA Novosti reports, quoting a spokesman of the Azovstal plant rescue operation center.

"They proposed the following terms of the deal: they would exchange 15 hostages for a ton of food and medication. They made it clear that they would no longer let anyone leave for Ukrainian territory, only in exchange for what they demand", the source said.

Ukrainian soldiers were killed in our troops’ offensive. Their “brothers in arms” left the corpses and withdrew. Our command contacted the opponent several times. They offered to evacuate the bodies in order to give the soldiers a decent burial. They guaranteed a ceasefire and a humanitarian corridor for this purpose. But there was no response.

What a great picture of the situation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Eventually, the Russian army men decided to evacuate the corpses of the Ukrainian soldiers and to bury them. As soon as the truck arrived in the wood line for the second time, Ukrainian artillery began to shell the area.

And the Russian soldiers under the Ukrainian Army’s fire evacuated the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers to the Russian army rear to bury them in a mass grave. Because our soldiers always remain humans. Unlike some others.

Andrey Medvedev.
