NGC 1232 spiral Galaxy

This spectacular image of the large spiral galaxy NGC 1232 was obtained on September 21 1998 during a period of good observing condition.

It is based on 3 exposures in ultra violet, blue and red light respectively. The colors of the different regions are quite visible : the central region contains old stars of reddish colors, while the spiral arms are populated by young blue stars and many star forming region.

Cetus-lupeedus!!

โœจ275 million light years away in the constellation of Cetus two galaxies zoom towards a cosmic boom as they head towards the final stage of merging. Astronomers believe that the collision between these two galaxies will cause inflowing of gases resulting in a compact starburst galaxy.
At the centre of the image, twi galaxies merge in a torrent of light with blue, pink, orange, purple and brown taking centre stage as the galaxies collide and interactโœจ

โœจChinaโ€™s Mars rover, which has been in longer-than-expected hibernation on the red planet since May 2022, has likely suffered excessive accumulation of sand and dust, its mission designer has said, breaking months of silence about the status of the space vehicle.

The fully robotic Zhurong, named after a mythical Chinese god of fire, was expected to have woken up in December after entering a planned sleep mode in May 2022 as falling solar radiation due to the advent of winter on Mars cut its power generation.โœจ

โœจ A very close up image of the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter. At the time the image was taken, the rover was about 75 feet away. The helicopter takes up the full frame of the photo and sits on the Martian ground filled with dust, dirt and dozens of rocks of various sizes.

There are small protrusions on the top of the helicopter's solar panel. The panel and the two 4 foot counter-rotating rotors have accumulated a fine coating of dust. The metalized insulating film covering the exterior of the helicopter's fuselage appears to be intact. Ingenuity's colour, 13- megapixel, horizon-facing terrain camera can be seen at the center bottom of the fuselage. โœจ
