I do believe in having our own timelines, but sometimes, I just wish I wasn't surrounded by a bunch of overachievers in life. Because no matter how hard I try to think of it differently, I always end up feeling sorry for myself. I always end up apologizing for even comparing, but it's just so hard not to when you know you're also giving it your all. That you didn't just sit there and waited for luck to rain, yet here you are and there they are.
At night, I take refuge in knowing that the stars heard all of my frustrations. All my silent cries, and that little wish that if all the things that I ever dreamed of just aren't written for me, I hope to find the courage to accept it with an open heart, and dream again.

Avoid people who don't wish you success ๐ฃ
You learn from your failure and WINS. Failures are like teachers, they teach us to be strong and resilient. Whenever I fail, I am happy because at least I tried to do something and I know it will work out if I put all my effort into it.
But certainly the biggest lessons also come from your wins. When you win, people try to comfort themselves by saying that it was a good luck or there was someone else who made it for you. Try to observe people around you and you will realize that you were surrounded by toxic people who pray for your downfall. Never hang out with them, never talk to them, never believe in them.
Shut that noise at all cost and try to keep a distance from those toxic people. It's crazy sometimes to see that best friends turn out to be your enemy and it stings when you understand that they were competing with you instead of supporting.
Note: Always choose your friends wisely

But Iโve talked to students from Nigeria, Egypt and Kenya who go there, and their experience is actually solid.
Hereโs the reality:
โข They offer strong scholarships for international students
โข Some students get close to full ride covered
โข The campus, support, and opportunities are legit
But donโt misunderstand this:
Itโs not automatically a full ride
What matters most?

๐ Having a strong profile

There are a lot of schools like this that people ignore.

I recently attended the NSBE 2026 Annual Convention in Baltimore, and it honestly changed how I see opportunities. I thought it would be just another event, but it was way more than that.
Being around students in STEM and companies actively recruiting made me realize that a lot of opportunities donโt come from just applying online. Real conversations and connections happen in spaces like this.
It also showed me that people arenโt always ahead because theyโre smarter, but because they put themselves in the right rooms and take chances, even when theyโre unsure.
I even got interviewed by two companies for Summer 2026โฆ didnโt land anything though, unlucky ๐ญ but people were actually getting internships there, so yeah, this is where it happens.
