🚨 President Trump signs an Executive Order on Election Integrity

- Mandates documented proof of US citizenship on voter registration documents.

- Ties federal election funding to states’ adherence to integrity measures outlined in federal law.
—— i.e. if states do not comply, they lose all federal funding.

- Orders updates to the Voluntary Voting System Guidelines 2.0 and security protocols for voting machines, requiring a voter-verifiable paper ballot record and prohibiting the use of ballots where the recorded vote is embedded in a barcode or QR code.

- Instructs the Attorney General to establish information-sharing partnerships with state election authorities to detect instances of election fraud or other breaches of election law.

- Implements suitable measures against states that include ballots received after Election Day in federal election tallies.

- Cancels Biden’s Executive Order 14019, which repurposed federal agencies as voter mobilization hubs for the Democratic Party.

The Republican National Committee is seeking information from states on voter roll maintenance as part of its latest election integrity effort, launching one of its largest-ever records requests on Tuesday. The RNC’s election integrity unit contacted election officials in 48 states and Washington, D.C., requesting all documents related to voter registration maintenance.
