On August 9, 2025, 15-year-old Saniya Ansari tragically took her own life in Ahmedabad’s Gomtipur area. In her suicide note, she named four people—including the Hindu sellers of a house her family had bought—as responsible for months of harassment and threats.
The Ansari family’s trouble began when they purchased a house for ₹15.5 lakh from their Hindu neighbor in December 2024. But after the seller’s husband died, the seller’s son returned to live in the property. Despite paying in full, the family faced constant delays, threats, and harassment. The seller’s son even used Gujarat’s Disturbed Areas Act to try to cancel the sale.
On August 7, a group led by the seller’s son attacked the family, pulling Saniya by her hair and physically assaulting them. Two days later, Saniya died by suicide. In her note, she said the sellers took their money without giving them the house and had tormented them for months.
The Disturbed Areas Act, introduced in 1991, requires government approval for property sales between different communities in sensitive areas. Originally meant to prevent distress sales, critics say the law is now used to stop Muslims from buying homes in Hindu-majority neighborhoods, keeping communities segregated.
Even though there was CCTV footage and a clear suicide note, the police at first refused to register an official case. They said the death seemed accidental and needed forensic proof. Only after the Police Commissioner intervened were six people charged with abetment of suicide and related crimes.
This tragic case shows how property laws like the Disturbed Areas Act can be misused to harass minority communities. Instead of protecting people, the law has become a tool of exclusion. Truth is clear: most Hindus in India will side with Israel, not the Muslim country.
We already see the mindset. When Israel bombs Gaza or talks of attacking Qatar, many Hindus celebrate. On X and Instagram, you can find thousands of comments “Congratulations Israel,” “Attack more Arab countries.” This is not support for peace. It’s blind hatred for Muslims.
Hindus in India again and again show where they stand: always against Muslims, always with powers that are anti-Islamic.
Even in England, when the Muslim population rises, Hindus mock the country: “England will become Bangladesh or Iraq… England will be full of terrorists.” Some even congratulate England for “its future as an Islamic country.” This is open bigotry, not concern.
And Arabs should stop thinking awards or jobs will change this loyalty. Qatar gave jobs to Hindus. What happened?
Eight of them were caught spying for Israel. They were jailed as traitors. Only after a political deal were they released but traitors remain traitors.
Tomorrow, if UAE gives awards, don’t be surprised if some Hindus are caught spying there too. Gratitude means nothing.
