Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has warned India that if it builds any structure or construction to stop or divert Pakistan's water, it will be destroyed. Speaking on the private TV channel Geo News' program 'Naya Pakistan,' he said that if India violates the Indus Waters Treaty by constructing any structure to block or redirect water, it will be considered an attack on Pakistan, and we will destroy that structure.

He further stated that violating the Indus Waters Treaty is not easy; it would be a declaration of war against Pakistan. An attack is not limited to just firing cannons or guns; it has many forms, one of which is this. This could lead to people in the country dying of hunger or thirst.

Earlier, a statement by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the Indus Waters Treaty had triggered a strong reaction in India. Addressing a rally in Sukkur, Sindh, Bilawal had said, "Either our water will flow from the Indus River, or their blood will flow."
