Bloomberg reports that Sony is seriously considering postponing the release of the PS6 to 2028–2029.

One primary reason is a sharp increase in the cost of components, especially RAM, as major IT companies are pre-purchasing large volumes for data centers.

However, the PS5 generation only started actively receiving games without cross-gen support from the PS4 last year, so the situation is unlikely to become worrisome for most people.

Last week's State of Play broke the viewing record.

Sony's February State of Play became the most-watched episode of the show – with over 3.2 million views, which is 200,000 more than the June 2025 presentation.

For comparison: the PlayStation Showcase 2023 garnered nearly 5 million views, and the 2020 show announcing the PS5 had around 15 million views.

I'd say that a bad tutorial is worse than no tutorial at all. Dozens of times I dropped games because the tutorial was exceptionally bad.

Ubisoft is raising the team of AI sloperators: the goal is to "find where AI is the most usable in the whole pipeline" (LN).

And I feel a bit of a pain here: Ubisoft were among first who built neural networks over a decade ago. They were used to bake cloth physics (and run it 1000 times faster), merge animations (and make characters switch between them smoother in a changing environment). In general they were pioneers in a very good use cases of what now can be called AI.

And now they are looking to use it in Data, Programing, Game and Narrative Design, and more. Which is not what players want. They do not want games be written by AI, ok?
