🌀 So why not go for a walk or a hike and enjoy the sunshine? You could also take this opportunity to explore nearby cities, spend quality time with friends or simply indulge in some self-care! 😌

❗️ Don’t forget that many shops and supermarkets will be closed, so make sure you stock up on groceries and supplies beforehand. But don’t worry, things will be back to normal on Friday! πŸ˜‰

πŸŽ‰ On 9 June, we will enjoy yet another public holiday with no courses or lectures taking place! ✨

πŸ‘‰ Pentecost, also known as Whit Sunday or Pfingsmontag in Germany, is a Christian holiday celebrated on the 50th day after Easter Sunday ❗️ Don’t forget that most shops and supermarkets will be closed on both Sunday and Monday, so make sure you stock up on groceries beforehand! πŸ›’
πŸ₯³ Not only that, the Schlossgrabenfest is currently taking place! From Thursday 5 June to Sunday 8 June, the university is adjusting its opening times for this special occasion. Most of the buildings in Campus Stadtmitte will be closed at 17.00 on Friday and will be completely closed on Saturday and Sunday πŸ’‘

πŸ“š The Library at Stadmitte is an exception, as it will still use its regular opening times on Friday and Saturday, but the basement level (including the LesBAR, the lockers, etc.) will not be accessible from 17.00. So please don’t leave the building via the Lesehof exit, as this will lead you into a closed area! 🚨

πŸ—“ And as Monday is Pentecost, all university buildings at Campus Stadmitte, Lichtwiese, and Schloss will be closed. We wish you a wonderful Schlossgrabenfest and holiday! ❀️
πŸ“’ Test Alarm Today at 11:00 AM!

Dear international students,
Today, June 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM, there will be a test of the siren warning system across the city of Darmstadt. 🚨

You will hear loud sirens and may receive alerts via warning apps like NINA or hessenWARN.

βœ… Don't worry – this is only a test!
No action is required, but it's good to know what the signals mean in case of a real emergency.

Stay safe! πŸŒπŸ’¬
πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“πŸŒŽ Are you an international student at TU Darmstadt? Then your experience is essential to shaping a more inclusive and supportive university! ✨

πŸ‘‰ Here’s why you should take a few minutes of your day to join the TU Student Survey:

1️⃣ You Have a Unique Perspective as an International Student πŸŽ“πŸŒŽ
Your journey is different: from language challenges and adjusting to a new culture, to navigating the university system in a second language or managing part-time work. The survey is your chance to share what it’s really like studying here as an international student πŸ’‘

2️⃣ Your Voice Matters, So Make It Heard! πŸ“’
Whether things are going great or not so much, the university wants to hear from you. This is your opportunity to highlight what’s working, what’s missing, and what support you need, 100% anonymously πŸ”
3️⃣ Make the University Better for You and for Future Students πŸ’ͺ
Your feedback can lead to real change, from improving course content and exam schedules to increasing English-language support and social activities. By speaking up now, you help make TU Darmstadt more welcoming and supportive for all πŸ“ˆ

πŸ“© Check your student email and use the link to take the survey πŸ”—

πŸ—£ Another public holiday is on its way! πŸŽ‰

πŸ‘‰ Fronleichnam is a holiday celebrated on the second Thursday after Pfingsten (Pentecost). As you probably know, most shops and supermarkets will be closed, so make sure you plan ahead! But don’t worry β€” everything will be back to normal on Friday πŸ˜‰

πŸ₯³ Other than that, there will be no courses or lectures, so it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy an outdoor activity or relax at home and take a well-deserved break from your studies! Have fun! ❀️πŸŒ₯
