Hamas today published a photo of an Israeli hostage who it says was recently executed by his captors.

More psychological terror.

But after investigating, the IDF announced that the hostage was someone who was killed much earlier in the war and that his body was already retrieved from Gaza by Israeli forces in November.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas addressed the Turkish parliament today:

β€œI have decided to visit the Gaza Strip. I call on the UN Security Council to secure my visit there. Immediately after I go to Jerusalem. Victory or martyrdom!”

The Israeli delegation will remain in Qatar tonight and continue the Gaza ceasefire talks tomorrow, reportedly under significant American pressure.

Hamas is not taking direct part in the talks, but has made its primary condition known: A full IDF withdrawal from Gaza before any hostages are released.

Israel is standing firm on its position that the war is not yet completed, and there is no way the IDF leaves the Gaza-Sinai border (Philadelphi Corridor) at this time.

There is very little chance of a deal, despite what US officials say.

The long wait for the Iran-Hezbollah attack on Israel has had a deceptive impact on the narrative.

It now appears as though Israel is awaiting an Iranian and Hezbollah response to something it did to them.

BUT REMEMBER: The eliminations of Fuad Shukr and Ismail Haniyeh were an Israeli response to something Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas did to Israel.

Several dozen Jewish vigilantes entered the Palestinian village of Jit in Samaria last night and set fire to a number of cars and houses.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government immediately condemned the action and urged Israelis to not take the law into their own hands, but to let the security forces fight terror.

Jewish residents of the area feel the security forces are not doing enough to prevent the almost daily attacks they suffer at the hands of Palestinian terrorists.

Typical... πŸ™„

American and Israeli sources say the ceasefire talks in Qatar have been "substantive" and have a real chance of success.

Arab sources say there is no progress.

Usually in such situations, the Americans and Israelis are being overly optimistic, and the Arabs are telling the truth.

Israel is demanding a list of 33 live hostages to be released, and an ongoing IDF presence on the Gaza-Egypt border (Philadelphi Corridor) and the Netzarim corridor that runs across the center of Gaza, diving the north from the south.

Hamas utterly rejects these demands.

Hezbollah's latest propaganda video regarding preparations for an assault on Israel.

This terrorist militia, which now rivals most regional armies, exists for one purpose alone: the destruction of the State of Israel.

That's its entire raison d'Γͺtre.

Negotiating with Hezbollah is pointless. It's a fool's errand. At best a negotiated deal will serve only to delay the inevitable effort by Hezbollah and its Iranian overlords to eradicate Jewish sovereignty in the Holy Land.

So why do we wait and allow them to prepare?

The ceasefire and hostage deal talks will continue with a summit in Cairo by the end of next week.

I’m the meantime, Egypt says Iran and Hezbollah won’t attack Israel so long as negotiations are ongoing.

Israeli officials agree that an attack looks less likely in the coming few days.

But Hamas and Hezbollah sources say a ceasefire deal is not nearly as close as American officials are suggesting.

Hamas still outright rejects Israel’s primary demands.
