The Discipline of Nutritional Sciences, School of Continuing Education, IGNOUorganized The Special Live Teleconference Session on the topic ‘Food Safety and Hygiene for Street Food Vendors’ (गली नुक्कड़ के खाद्य विक्रेताओं के लिए खाद्य सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम) on Gyan Darshan (GD) channel as part of Swacchata Hi Seva Campaign of Government of India. The expert Shri Ranjeet Singh (Designated Officer- Food Safety Department), Government of NCT of Delhi discussed about the importance of food safety in handling food and matter related to FSSAI registration and license for street vendors along with importance of personal hygiene, food adulteration.

A live question-answer session with street food vendors present in the studio was also initiated.
