Prof. Kanjilal was the ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ญ at the inaugural session of the seminar, titled โ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ง-๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ, ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ, ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฌโ.
๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐๐ง๐ฃ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ฅ also inaugurated a curated exhibition, โ๐๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ & ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐: ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅโ, which brings together a selection of IGNCAโs non-print holdings. The exhibition features slides, negatives, glass plate negatives, microfilms and audio tapes, alongside the cameras, projectors, light boxes and microfilm readers once used to produce, process and access these materials. Together, the objects offer a material history of analog documentation and the technologies through which it was created and preserved.
