A delegation from the 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 visited the 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐔) on 10 September 2026, for discussions aimed at strengthening academic ties and exploring new avenues of institutional cooperation as 𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐔 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐌𝐨𝐂) 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑. In the past, both institutions collaborated in successfully organizing a webinar on 6th June, observed as the International Russian Language Day and the Birth Anniversary of Russian poet, playwright, and novelist Alexander Pushkin.



The Russian delegation visiting the IGNOU headquarters comprised 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐤𝐨, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education; 𝐃𝐫. 𝐎𝐥𝐠𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚, Director, School of Management and Technology; and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐚, Director, Centre for International Educational Programmes. The visiting representatives shared an overview of their university’s academic priorities and discussed potential areas of collaboration with IGNOU.



𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐔𝐦𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐥, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫, 𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐔, welcomed the delegation and emphasised the university’s commitment to 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. She underscored the importance of forging meaningful 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 that promote academic exchange and create opportunities for cooperation in education and research. Prof. Kanjilal welcomed the 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨-𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬, ‘𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐧 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚’, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 ‘𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞’.
