Celebrating 40 Years of IGNOU: Learning for All

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is honoured that President and CEO, Professor Peter Scott, will serve as Chief Guest at the 40th Foundation Day Celebration of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) on 19 November 2025 in New Delhi.

This milestone marks four decades of IGNOU’s leadership in open and distance learning: expanding access to inclusive, lifelong education across India and beyond.

Professor Scott’s participation reaffirms COL’s partnership with IGNOU in advancing open, technology-enabled, and learner-centred education across the Commonwealth.
